Epic weekends... and why you shouldn't avoid them.

So... off went another ridiculous weekend, and I'm still alive!

I think I'm finally getting the hang of it again.

After being boring and not going out as much over the first six months of 2009, I think it's safe to say that I'm back in full swing and am ready to tear this town apart!

I guess that's what happens when you no longer have something else taking up your time.

Once again, Friday was SUPPOSED to be a quiet night for me, and after lifting some weights I thought I would just go to sleep.

Then, sometime around 1am, something clicked.

Something deep within my subconscious let out a primal scream, and it said "WHY ARE YOU HOME ON A FRIDAY NIGHT???".

Needless to say, I did manage to find myself a little inebriated, though it was nothing compared to what will now be called the "birthday of death".

I managed to satiate my boredom, and had a few good laughs as well.

I don't know why, but even without getting completely blasted, I managed to stay out til 6 am...

Come to think of it, I should probably be very thankful that I didn't mess myself up, considering the fact that Saturday was dirty as sin.

---

Ah.. Saturday.

I think it's officially going to be the one day each week where I lose my mind, and love every moment of it.

First of all, I should have taken a nap. Two hours straight of running up and down a basketball court is NEVER recommended if you plan on having a big night drinking (which I actually didn't, but hey, it's Carlo, what do you expect).

Anyways...

The tale begins with me starting off with a few friends at Forbidden City in Clarke Quay. For some reason a friend of ours wanted to spend her last night there and so we followed. It ended up being an entertaining venue, especially after we discovered that they have an upstairs area! Seriously, none of us knew.

I actually wasn't meant to drink much, and I still managed to resist at FC, even after Caryn made a cameo appearance completely destroyed and unable to walk straight.

I do think something clicked though, because the rest of the night quickly became ridiculous.

We headed down to Butter Factory later in the evening (or morning, depending on how you count 2:30 am), and thats where the real fun began.

What was supposed to be a quick stop to say goodbye to Samantha ended up being the beginning of some sudden and welcome changes to the semi-quiet Saturday.

As I was trying to talk to Sam, somebody decided that they wanted to pour Belvedere down my throat.

Well, for those that don't know me, booze is to Carlo as spinach is to Popeye.

Seriously, something lit up inside and all of a sudden I found myself chugging vodka and being merry! I don't know about the rest of you, but I really like Butter from 2 am til closing, if only because it's not so stinking crowded. I think it's a great club, but man does that fucking place get packed!

Then again, meeting a couple of cute girls that night probably makes me a *little* biased.

As 4 am rolled along, I found myself in full swing and ready to continue the night. I must say, even with that little sleep, my mind was just in the mood for more debauchery.

That's where Living Room comes in.

Suffice to say, a group of about eight guys and girls (not working girls, actual women) stood out at Living Room like a sore thumb. Entertainingly enough, none of the "ladies of the night" decided to bother us, which is always comforting. Well, at least in the "you don't look like you're here at 5 am because you're desperate for a hooker" sense.

Ah but well... Living Room is good for something *other* than hookers, and that's: 2 for 1 offers on bottles of Belvedere!

We somehow managed to get a bottle and a half done before my mind couldn't fight my fatigue anymore, and I had to stumble on home.

Feeling like shit all of Sunday was worth it, considering how I met a bunch of cool people and drank enough Vodka to kill a Russian (ok maybe not a Russian, but definitely a little Asian person).

This coming weekend should prove more interesting. More highlights coming soon!
